Drainage |
Introduction
Geotextile Supplies and Engineering (G.S.E.) have a wide range of
drainage products for use in vertical or horizontal applications.
|
G.S.E.
Sheet Drains
G.S.E. Sheet Drain is a composite drainage system consisting of a
three-dimensional, crush resistant, core and a non woven, needle punched
geotextile. The product is used in a similar manner to the fabrinet
drainage core described below. The difference between the two is the
structure of the core.
The core of G.S.E. Sheet Drain is comprised of a solid sheet of density
polyethylene with moulded studs to provide the core space. Thus, the
product has a water proof side on the back as opposed to the open
net of fabrinet. By overlapping this core a water resistant backing
is achieved. Flow rates are also greater with the G.S.E. Sheet Drain.

VersiCell
VersiCell offers architects and developers greater design flexibility
and has a wide range of application in the landscape, building and
construction industries.
What is VersiCell
VersiCell is an interlocking structural module used for sub-surface
drainage and for underground water percolation tank systems. When
installed with a waterproof membrane VersiCell eliminated the need
for an additional protection layer. The modules are easily interlocked
in the same plane or at right angles to one another, Alternatively
VersiCell may be butted together without interlocking.
Applications
Typical areas of applications include:
- Roof
gardens and landscaped decks
- Paved
area and roadways
- Sports
fields
- Retaining
/ Basement walls
- Pond
filtration
- Capillary
irrigation
- Bridge
abutments
- Tunnels
and landfills
- Golf
courses
- Underground
percolation tanks

Benefits
of VersiCell
Design Flexibility
Greater design flexibility as the modules may be interlocked in the
one plane or at right angles to one another to form continuous panels,
conduits and tanks.
Easy Installation
Large easy-to-join modules or pre-assembled panels and narrow profile
allow rapid installation and minimize on-site disruption.
Lightweight and High Strength
Honeycomb design results in a lightweight high compressive strength
structure.
Durable
The modules are resistant to biological attacks and to a wide range
of chemicals. Does not allow root penetration and to be rendered inoperable.
Efficient
High surface area and internal void volume results in efficient drainage.
Narrow profile enables a grater soil depth to be utilised in planter
beds allowing the use of a wider variety of landscape plants.
Environmentally Friendly
VersiCell is manufactured from recycled plastics. |

Nordrain
Cellular Drainage Product
30mm
thick, NORDRAIN drainage cell provides an efficient drainage path
for excessive flows under high loads and low gradients.
Its primary applications are in the building and landscaping industries
particularly for:
- Roof
gardens
-
Planter boxes
-
Paving
- Sports
Fields
-
Roadways
Nordrain
is engineered as the most advanced geocomposite available for sub
surface drainage. It offers high compressive strength (> 140 tonnes/m2),
compactness (30mm thick), lightweight construction, ease of installation
and low cost compared to traditional methods.
Long-term
durability of Nordrain is excellent as it is resistant to all ground
chemicals and will not collapse or distort during backfill operations.

GSE
Fabrinet drainage Sheet
GSE FABRINET is a high flow capacity geocomposite consisting of geonet
core with a non-woven fabric attached to one or both sides. The geonet
core is constructed with rigid support ribs that provide tensile strength
and compressive resistance whilst providing the drainage path. The
geotextile serves as a filter and prevents clogging of the core. The
product is suitable for use behind retaining walls, bridges abutments
etc. It is also used as a leachate or gas collection layer between,
or under, liners. Lightweight, economical and flexible, GSE FABRINET
is the ideal choice for many drainage applications. |
